Adams County Water Resources Advisory Committee (WRAC)

Program Partners: Authorized by the Adams County Commissioners, with participation from diverse local and interstate organizations

Partnership Description:
WRAC advises county commissioners on key water resources issues. The committee operates through three subcommittees-Education, Technical, and Ad Hoc-to support informed decision-making and coordinated water management.

Advisory Committee on Water Information (ACWI)

Program Partners: Federal, regional, state, and local agencies; industry; academia; and professional organizations

Partnership Description:
ACWI represents water information users and professionals, advising the Federal Government on the effectiveness and coordination of federal water information programs in meeting national needs.

America’s Great Outdoors (AGO)

Program Partners: Federal Interagency Council on Outdoor Recreation (FICOR), including BLM, NPS, USFWS, Bureau of Reclamation, USFS, USACE, and NOAA

Partnership Description:
AGO advances a 21st-century conservation and recreation agenda grounded in the belief that lasting conservation solutions are community-driven and non-partisan, reflecting shared national values.

America’s Great Watershed Initiative (AGWI)

Program Partners: USACE, The Nature Conservancy, states, industry partners, agricultural organizations, basin associations, and Mississippi River watershed stakeholders

Partnership Description:
AGWI is a watershed-scale collaboration addressing the complex, interconnected challenges of the Mississippi River system. It integrates partners and issues to promote mutually beneficial solutions across energy, transportation, water quality, and floodplain management.

America’s Natural and Cultural Resources Volunteer Portal

Program Partners: Interagency partners including USFS, NPS, and USACE
Partnership Description:
A national platform connecting the public with volunteer opportunities related to natural and cultural resource management across federal agencies.
Focus Areas: Cultural Resources, Natural Resources Management, Outreach & Public Education, Partnerships

Anacostia Watershed Management Committee

Program Partners: Senior-level policy representatives from participating jurisdictions
Partnership Description:
Provides policy, programmatic, and financial oversight for restoration and protection of the Anacostia Watershed, including approval of work programs, budgets, and strategic direction.
Focus Areas: Policy, Watershed Governance

Anacostia Watershed Restoration Partnership (AWRP)

Program Partners: District of Columbia, State of Maryland, Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, EPA, USACE, MWCOG, and supporting agencies and organizations
Partnership Description:
An intergovernmental partnership working to restore the Anacostia Watershed through six core goals, including pollution reduction, habitat restoration, improved fish passage, expanded wetlands and forests, and increased public engagement.
Focus Areas: Partnerships, Watershed Restoration

Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) Task Force

Program Partners: Federal agencies including USFWS, NOAA, EPA, USCG, USGS, NPS, and others
Partnership Description:
An intergovernmental task force dedicated to preventing and controlling aquatic invasive species. The ANS Task Force coordinates federal, regional, and private-sector efforts under the Nonindigenous Aquatic Nuisance Prevention and Control Act and the National Invasive Species Act.
